VMRO-DPMNE accused the Government of secretly increasing the excise tax on diesel by two denars per liter.
“Yet again, the Government secretly, in their smuggler style, increased the excise tax on some fuels directly at the expense and at the expense of the citizens. According to the latest decision of the Regulatory Commission, the excise tax on diesel has been increased from 15.50 denars to 17.50 denars per liter. This means that diesel is two denars more expensive only on the basis of the increased excise tax by the Government. It follows that the recent rise in the price of diesel fuel is largely due to this difference, which should end directly in the state budget and, be careful, to fill the holes in the government that made them in the budget only by stealing taxpayers’ money. With the last decision of the Regulatory Commission, the price of diesel reached 63.5 denars per liter, which is an increase of 13 denars compared to the price four years ago when SDSM came to power,” said VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Dimche Arsovski.
