The majority of the 75 registered Macedonian nationals in Afghanistan have been evacuated from Kabul by military planes, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said on Tuesday.
Fifty nationals of Macedonia during the night and this morning have been transferred by military planes from Kabul to Doha and Abu Dhabi, and this morning another 19 of our nationals are on their way to Doha. They are to return home with commercial flights via Qatar and London.
Another 14 Macedonian citizens are at the NATO base in Kabul, 11 of them are to take the next evacuation flight. Three more of our nationals have stated that they will remain to perform their duties at the base and will be evacuated together with army from the base.
