At Tuesday’s session, the Government decided that the academic year 2021/2022 will start with in-person classes at full capacity, at the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Science, and with the approval of the Commission for Infectious Diseases.

This means that as of September 1, all students from first to ninth grade in primary and high school students will return to school, after the last school year only students in third grade and older students in schools where there were conditions for in-person education.

“Exceptions may apply to children with rare diseases or disabilities, children from families with chronically ill family members, at the request of their parents, as well as for other, non-medical reasons with the school’s permission,” the government informed.
