Zaev: Macedonia has capacity to receive over 1,800 Afghan refugees


Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, during an interview with Sitel TV, revealed that Macedonia will receive over 1,800 refugees from Afghanistan.

“Our facilities are in the thousands, i.e. 1,200, 1,800 people, Albania between 2,000 and 3,000 people. We have 450 people confirmed, and at the moment while we are talking we are confirming 70 new people, also peacekeepers and humanitarian workers,” Zaevtold Sitel.

Although previously there were talks of about 200 people, and then the authorities increased it to 400 and more, the Prime Minister revealed Thursday night that Macedonia will accommodate more than 1,800 Afghan refugees.
