Skopje Mayor Petre Shilegov embezzled the money from the town hall, but also owed the public enterprises, accuses VMRO-DPMNE.
The party says that the town hall was sold for 12.5 million euros, and Shilegov is silent and hides where and what on this taxpayers’ money was spent.
”Shilegov spent 4 city budgets and has not done a single project. There is no new infrastructure investment. While VMRO-DPMNE left companies to Shilegov without a single penny of debt, Shilegov owed the companies. City enterprises have millions in debt. JSP Skopje alone has a deficit on the balance for the first six months of the year of almost 140 million denars, PE Water and Sewerage 40 million denars, and PE Communal Hygiene 13 million denars. In total, Shilegov put these three companies in the red for almost 200 million denars. With the new debts and the debts in the past 4 years, the debt of the city enterprises is 10 million euros. While the companies are sinking in debt Shilegov did nothing, no new investments, no projects. Shilegov has bought 4 times less vehicles and machinery for the city of Skopje and the companies under the city, the statement reads.
