Capital investments in 7 months reached barely 30%, shows the platform Capital Investments. The Government again fails in the realization of the expenditures that have a development component and that should move the economy, stressed VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Thursday.

‘According to the platform, out of 96 budget users, as many as 16 institutions have 0% or close to 0% realization of capital investments. Among them are the Public Revenue Office, the Bureau for Regional Development, the Agency for Commodity Reserves, the State Election Commission, the State Market Inspectorate and others. About 30 of the institutions have a realization below 10%. Among them are the Parliament, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, the State Labor Inspectorate and others. The biggest realization of the capital investments from all budget users has the Intelligence Agency with over 98% realization,” says the opposition party.

VMRO-DPMNE says that additionally, the quality of capital investments cannot be seen from the number of realization. In addition to roads, schools and hospitals, capital investments also include the purchase of furniture and vehicles. With the supplementary budget, the items for procurement of vehicles and furniture have increased. Consequently, the vehicles of the Government and the luxurious equipment of the new Ministry of Political System build on this poor realization, and yet they do not have any development component.
