Current Kumanovo Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski will run as an independent candidate for mayor of Kumanovo in the upcoming local elections scheduled for October 17th.
Dimitrievski will submit his candidacy to the SEC on Friday and will start collecting signatures, Kumanovo news reported, quoting reliable sources.
“The support from the citizens is more of a motive for me to expect a candidacy, however, in the end the choice is made by the citizens. I think we are starting to change the face of Kumanovo, and together with my team we plan to continue it in the second term, and to transform the city into a modern and urban center on a European scale,” Dimitrievski told Sloboden Pecat earlier on Wednesday.
