Infectious Diseases Commission to decide which students will start school online or in-person on September 1

The Commission for Infectious Diseases has accepted the request of the Tetovo Crisis Headquarters to start the 2021-22 school year in regional high schools online, due to the surge of new Covid-19 cases in the Polog region. Elementary schools will reopen, however, on September 1.

Health Minister Venko Filipche, at a joint press conference with Tetovo Mayor Teuta Arifi, said regional high schools would start online classes on September 1.

Two weeks later, he added, the epidemiological situation would be evaluated again to see if classes should continue in person.
