44.6% of the total population over 18 has been vaccinated with at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines by September 4, in addition to 54% of citizens over 40 and 29% of those aged 18-39, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Tuesday.
“According to latest data, the vaccination rate is highest in Negotino, Kavadarci and Ohrid,” the release read.
Walk-in vaccination, it added, is available nationwide, while citizens interested in in-home vaccination must first apply at the nearest vaccination point.
The Ministry also said that there are enough vaccines available and called on citizens, especially younger ones, to show interest in the process. Latest figures, the press release read, show that the virus also affects young people.
