The Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission (ERC) is preparing to publish a blacklist of electricity suppliers that do not comply with contracts with consumers on the free market, announced President of the Energy Regulatory Commission Marko Bislimoski in an interview with “Utrinski brifing”.

“In recent months, the price of electricity on world stock exchanges has increased and some suppliers therefore terminate contracts with some of the companies ahead of time and there are attempts to invoice at new prices, which is not allowed. We have warned them, we will start procedures for revoking licenses, and we are considering the possibility of publishing a blacklist so that consumers can know which suppliers are behaving badly and do not respect the contracts. The supplier is obliged to provide service to the customer at the same price under the contract during the transfer period, i.e. switching to a new supplier. Until then, he must not change the price of the contract,” said Bislimoski.

Bislimoski assures that the price of households is stable and is guaranteed by the ERC.

There are currently 13 active suppliers in the country, thus positioning ourselves as the country with the most active suppliers in this part of Europe.
