Preliminary results from the vetting of diplomats in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has shown that the employment contracts of two persons are to be terminated because they failed to get clearance from the security services, said Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani on Tuesday.

“Both failed to pass the initial vetting and their employment contracts will be terminated,” FM Osmani told a press conference at the DUI HQ in Skopje.

He added that none of the diplomats for whom Armenia has issued an international arrest warrant are among those failing the vetting procedure.

In addition, six other persons did not renew their clearance and have been given seven days to do this.
