While exchanging pleasantries with Zoran Zaev, the kind EU guest Ursula Von der Leyen remarked that “it’s a beautiful house you have“, referring to the Government building. Zaev did not respond to the compliment, given how strongly he criticized the refurbishing of the building done by former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski as part of the Skopje 2014 urban renewal project.
Obviously the guest does not think so.
Zaev had a similar situation during Vucic’s visit, who also admired the projects that were part of “Skopje 2014”.
