The citizens and I are fed up with the politics that put us in front of a final act, and such is the case with our eastern neighbor Bulgaria. If you listened to the statements of these political fraudsters in the government, we started the negotiations 3 years ago. The real question is why to this day no one has mustered the courage to take responsibility for losing another 3 years of these citizens in our Macedonia and hundreds of thousands of young people – 8 out of 10 of my students after graduation decide to leave the country because they do not see their future here, said VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in an interview Al Jazeera.
He pointed out that he will do his best to correct the injustices that have been inflicted on the Macedonian people, including this injustice that is now being inflicted and the main motivator and cause for that is our eastern neighbor. He further explained the essence of the problem:
“What is required of us at the moment is to say that we do not speak the Macedonian language, but that we speak the Macedonian language which is part of the Bulgarian language and which is a kind of its slang, to be more brutal. Furthermore, we should give up the historical and cultural past, to say that Nikola Karev, Pitu Guli, Goce Delchev, Damjan Gruev were not Macedonians and did not fight for a Macedonian state in the heart of the Balkans and that they are essentially Bulgarians, that we As Macedonians, we are practically a result of the Comintern and Tito, which have existed since 1945. They even go a step further and in their last proposal they say, to be Macedonians and to speak Macedonian language in accordance with the Constitution, which means from 1991 onwards. Let’s give up our Macedonian minority living in Bulgaria, which has already received several verdicts before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. We have several declarations from the European Parliament in the direction of the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria.
At the end of his address, Mickoski pointed out the government as directly responsible for all that is happening to us and said that as long as we happen to have 14 dead who were burning alive, as long as criminal affairs, vaccine fees, disasters in education happen to us, As long as we are 111th on the list and the most corrupt country in Europe, with the lowest standard, the lowest level of investment and many more defeats, we will unfortunately always be a victim of such hegemonic demands and a victim of genocide.
