Minister of Education and Science Mila Carovska pointed out that the Education Inspectorate conducts regular inspections in schools, but so far they have not come across photocopied or original digital books bought by fourth grade students.

She said she had already made the police aware of bookshops selling print copies of fourth grade digital textbooks and breaking copyright laws.

“The Bureau for Developing Education hasn’t given anyone permission to print out the textbooks. If you told me where they were sold, I would report the case to the Ministry of Interior as I have done before when I had information about such a thing happening,” Carovska said in response to a reporter’s question about the textbooks being available for purchase.
