Migrants were found last night near Demir Kapija, the driver who was transporting them fled, said Veroljub Dodevski, spokesperson for the Veles Police.
Last night around 11.20 pm near Gradsko in the direction of Gevgelija, police officers tried to stop a passenger vehicle “Audi” with Skopje license plates, which did not stop, but increased its speed. At Przhdevski, an overpass hit the official vehicle and stopped, and the driver escaped. 10 migrants from India were found in the vehicle, who were transferred to the Reception-Transit Center Gevgelija, informed Dodevski.
An inspection was performed by an inspection team from the Negotino Police Station and a public prosecutor, according to whose directions the vehicle was secured.
