Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi told a political TV show that “he showed that he has been fighting all his life to show that it is time not to talk about Albanians, Macedonians, Turks, but about people who may or may not contribute to better policy making.
He said that SDSM is considering all options for the next prime minister who will lead the current ruling majority.
“Zaev’s successor should have wider support of the entire SDSM leadership, because he will be elected in direct elections. We will find that person. There are people in the party who truly believe in social democratic values. Knowing Zaev, he is a man of his word and it is different from what someone wants to show and I think that his resignation is final. However, he will remain until the last moment and the last atom of his energy, if necessary, for our citizens”, adds Bytyqi.
