DNA analyses of bus accident victims to be complete in coming days

Health Minister Venko Filipche said that the DNA analyses of the people who died in the traffic accident in Bulgaria should be complete on Wednesday or Thursday, after which, their bodies will be transported back to North Macedonia.

“We’re working intensely to finish the DNA analyses. Our Bulgarian colleagues and our colleagues from the Institute of Forensic Medicine are in constant contact. It’ll be complete today or tomorrow, after which we will organize the transport of the bodies back to this country,” Filipche said, answering a journalist’s question after the press conference of the Stronger Together, Association for Support of People Living with HIV, honoring World AIDS Day.

The bus accident happened the night between November 22 and 23, when a Besa Trans bus on its way back from Istanbul caught fire on Struma Highway near Sofia.
