There were 8,595 unfilled jobs in N. Macedonia in the third quarter of 2021. Of them, 2,550 were in the retail and service industry, according to the latest figures from the State Statistical Office.
The job vacancy rate was 1.69 percent, peaking in the administrative and support service sector, at 3.32 percent. The lowest job vacancy rate was registered in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, 0.20 percent.
Business companies with 10 to 49 employees had the highest job vacancy rate, of 2.16 percent. Regionally, the southeast had the highest job vacancy rate at 2.17 percent.
