Bodies of Struma highway bus crash victims to be flown home Friday by two military transport planes

The bodies of forty-five people that were killed on November 23 in an overnight bus accident on the Struma highway in Bulgaria will be flown home early Friday by two military transport planes, Bulgarian Ambassador to N. Macedonia Angel Angelov said on Thursday.

“The bodies of the victims in the bus accident will be transported early on Friday by two military transport planes provided by the Bulgarian side,” Angelov responded to a reporter’s question during his visit to Shtip municipality.

Macedonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also revealed that the remains of the victims in bus accident in Bulgaria will arrive at the Skopje International Airport early Friday.

45 Macedonian nationals were killed on November 23 in an overnight bus accident on the Struma highway near Pernik in Bulgaria, seven people survived.
