President Stevo Pendarovski says that the approach of new Bulgarian PM Kiril Petkov, who stressed that history shouldn’t be the only channel of communication between the two countries, is acceptable.

“I think the approach of new Bulgarian PM Kiril Petkov, who stressed that history shouldn’t be the only channel of communication between the two countries, is acceptable. We should discuss infrastructure, energy connection, economy, trade exchange, EU integration, human rights and freedoms and the pandemic. That’s a modern approach and I support it. Of course, I don’t’ support the six-months waiting period he announced, I think we can resolve the issue much quicker,” Pendarovski noted.
