Former UBK director Sasho Mijalkov is definitely going home. As confirmed by the court, he was accepted a guarantee of 11 million euros that he will be available for the trial against him. In addition to the guarantee, Mijalkov must appear in court once a week and a passport has been banned from being issued.
In the “Treasury” case, Mijalkov was sentenced to 8 years in prison by the first instance verdict, for which the Prosecution proposed that he be remanded in custody. In the “Target – Fortress” case, Mijalkov was sentenced to 12 years in prison by a first instance verdict, and two other cases are being conducted against him, for which other measures for securing the presence were previously determined, at the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office.
