Health Minister Venko Filipche believes that neither due to the Omicron strain of COVID-19, nor due to any other strain, no additional restrictions should be made.

“I believe that all countries in the world should learn to live by the general rules of prevention and increase the rate of vaccination and that is the way out of this crisis. We cannot introduce additional restrictive measures for every single strain, regardless of the characteristics, until the situation worsens,” Filipche said after visiting the Special Hospital for Gynecology and Obstetrics in Chair.

According to the minister, the mandatory vaccination and travel measures, as well as to not overcrowd the indoor premises are quite sufficient.

“Life is gradually going back to normal, somewhere it has completely gone back to normal and I think that these preventive measures are quite sufficient,” said Filipche.
