Number of new COVID-19 cases in constant decline in first few days of 2022

The number of new COVID-19 cases since the beginning of 2022 is in constant decline and in the first three days of the year a total of 923 new cases were registered, while 1,328 were recovered and 15 people have passed away, so the number of active cases is constantly decreasing and now stands at 4,817.

According to the data released by the Institute of Public Health, on January 1st  435 new cases and 534 recovered patients were registered, on January 2nd  246 new cases and 547 recovered, and 242 new cases and 247 recovered on January 3rd.

About 20 percent of COVID-19 active cases have been reported in the last three days.

So far, a total of 1,611,793 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases since the onset of the epidemic is 225,972, the number of recovered patients is 213,174, while the death toll stands at 7,981. There are 4,817 active cases nationwide.
