The citizens of Skopje will have hot radiators today. What will happen tomorrow will have to be decided by the Government because BEG announced n Thursday that it will not be able to supply heat from tomorrow. The company asked the Government to take over the temporary management of the company starting from 14.01.2022 until the end of the crisis situation in this heating season.

The President of the Energy Regulatory Commission Marko Bislimoski said Thursday that BEG will lose its license if and when it stops delivering heat to households.

The company is plunged into a financial crisis after the price of gas on the stock exchanges jumped several times.

“As a socially responsible company, we inform that we do not have more resources to provide financing for the heating season without state aid to compensate the tariff for heat production, so we will not be able to continue producing heat.

In order to ensure uninterrupted production of thermal energy in PTBE, we proposed the Government to take over the temporary management of the company starting from 14.01.2022 until the end of the crisis situation in this heating season “, heating production company Balkan Energy DOOEL Skopje announced yesterday.
