20,250 active COVID-19 cases, Omicron risk very high


Over the past few days, an increasing number of people have been infected with COVID-19, due to the rapid spread of the new Omicron strain. Currently, 20,250 cases of infected people are active in the country, and according to the data of the World Health Organization, over 340 million patients have been diagnosed in the world. The WHO warns that the risk of Omicron remains very high.

Since the onset of the pandemic, a total of 1,741,085 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the country. The total number of cases in our country since the beginning of the epidemic is 254,857, the number of recovered patients is 226,409, the death toll stands at 8,198, and the number of active cases is 20,250 nationwide.
