The work of the Joint Commission on Issues between Skopje and Sofia is intensifying, said Bulgaria’s PM Kiril Petkov in a joint press conference with PM Dimitar Kovachevski on Tuesday.

“I want to note that the historical commission will have at least three meetings in the next four months. Very intense work, this is a very optimistic view of the joint results. Today’s meetings show synergy and benefits for good neighborliness,” said the Prime Minister of Bulgaria.

The last meeting for 2021 was held at the end of December, yet nothing was agreed on it, and the Macedonian side then informed that the main differences with their Bulgarian counterparts are in understanding the role of history with modern societies.
