Macedonian Olympian Dardan Dehari suffered a severe injury to his right knee during a bad fall during today’s training in Yanking, during the preparations for his first participation in the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
“After the first consultations between Dr. Lubomir Ognjenovic, who is in Beijing, the Chinese doctors and the chairman of the IOC Health Commission, Dr. Nebojsha Nastov, it is a matter of tearing the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee and Dardan Dehari will be operated on immediately.” informed by the IOC.
Dehari, who carried the Macedonian flag at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, was scheduled to compete in the slalom and giant slalom races scheduled for the Olympic Games on February 13th and 16th.
