39 Afghan citizens leave Macedonia for Canada

The temporary stay in Macedonia for a new group of 39 citizens of Afghanistan is over. In the morning, they left Skopje International Airport for Canada, which provided them with a stay in the joint global action to help Afghan civilians.

The refugees are employees, associates and members of their families, of the international organization “Open Government Partnership” (OGP) where Macedonia is officially a member.

As part of the rescue mission, there are currently 503 Afghan citizens in Macedonia who are being cared for by the institutions with all the necessary support and assistance. So far, 217 civilians have left the country, to whom several countries around the world have provided permanent residence.
