As of today, the single emergency number 112 is put to function. Thus, now help can be obtained only by dialing the number 112, instead of dialing four emergency numbers 192 – Police, 193 – Fire, 194 – Ambulance and 195 – Crisis Management Center (CMC). The call will then be redirected through the system to the one for which it is intended.
With the commissioning of the number, which enables by calling only one number, 112, in the shortest possible time the citizens of Macedonia to receive the services of the police, emergency medical service or the fire brigade, from anywhere in the country, symbolically marks European Day, designated by the EU to promote the proper use of the emergency number E-112, used throughout Europe.
