I propose to supplement the Agenda with the item draft law on amending the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance by summary procedure, submitted by the parliamentary group on 11.02.2022. I think that five days for translation of three sheets of paper were enough for us to be able to put this material in the E-Parliament and to be able to discuss today a serious topic that is vital for about 325,000 pensioners in the country, said Nikola Micevski, coordinator of the parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE and the “Renewal of Macedonia” coalition at Wednesday’s Parliament session.
Micevski added that due to the increase in prices of certain products and electricity bills, it is necessary to increase the pensions of citizens to survive.
Micevski pointed out that as a parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE and the Coalition propose all types of pensions in accordance with the law are harmonized in a way that the total amount of pension payments for April 2022 would increase by 20% and is shared with the total number of beneficiaries who will get their pension as of April 2022.
