Former Minister of Health Venko Filipche in the next at least six months will have security provided by the Ministry of Interior, the ministry decided after security checks.
The Ministry of Interior says that the security detail was not provided at Filipche’s request, but that it was based on legal provisions for securing persons and objects based on security assessments.
“Based on that, measures and activities have been determined,” said the Ministry of Interior.
Filipche denied receiving threats and said that his security detail was extended by the ANB state security agency.
