Working group at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will examine all appointed diplomats from 2006 onwards

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) regarding the recent statements of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy on the appointment and referral of diplomats to the highest positions in the embassies and consulates of the country indicates that in the past year 20 heads of foreign missions were sent of which 16 are professional diplomats from the Ministry, representing 80% of the sent diplomats.

Among other initiatives, MFA said, a working group has been set up at the ministry to review all appointments and referrals of ambassadors and consuls general from 2006 to date and to prepare a comparative analysis.
