More than 40 Ukrainian soldiers and about 10 civilians were killed in the first hours of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, said Oleksiy Arestovych, a member of the Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
“I was informed that more than 40 have been killed and dozens injured,” Arestovych said.
He added that he knew of almost 10 civilian casualties.
