The Financial Police Directorate, the State Market Inspectorate and the Public Revenue Office are jointly conducting intensified and comprehensive controls to prevent possible manipulations in the food and fuel supply, the Government informed.
“Inspections of the distribution centers that supply food products and of the legal entities that perform retail and wholesale of oil derivatives throughout the country are carried out in order to have no interruption in the supply of food products, fruits, vegetables, and energy. There is no panic among consumers,” reads the Government’s press release.
According to the Government Press Service, the controls are comprehensive and therefore act in a coordinated manner, especially at the distribution centers, i.e. wholesalers and those markets that have their own warehouses and distribution centers from where the products are taken over.
