TIDZ: Growth in employment and exports in February

In the technological-industrial development zones in February there was an increase in the number of employees by four percent and an increase in exports by over 30 percent, shows the regular monthly analysis made by the Directorate of Technological-Industrial Development Zones.

According to these data, exports in February reached 340 million euros, which is 30 percent more compared to the same period last year and over 36 percent more than in January this year.

Imports of companies in the zones in the second month of this year amounted to 300 million euros, an increase of 23 percent compared to February last year and over 46 percent compared to January 2022.

The analysis shows that a high level of net exports of 16.3 percent was registered in February.

The number of employees, as informed by the Directorate of TIDZ, has reached the highest level so far. The companies in the TIDZ employ 14,430 citizens, which is over four percent more compared to the same period last year, and only compared to January there is a two percent increase.
