Bread, cooking oil and flour starting Thursday are sold at purchase prices, and for some of the basic food products the margins have been reduced in order to meet the needs of the citizens and to preserve their standard of living in the midst of the biggest economic crisis when world stock markets the price of fuels is growing daily.
For refined sugar, persistent cow’s milk with a fat content of 2.8, 3.2 and 3.5 percent, fresh meat, delicatessen products such as salami, hot dogs and sausages, cheese, cottage cheese, rice, eggs and macaroni, profit margins in wholesale from 5 to 4 percent and in retail from 10 to 3 percent. The reduction of margins will be valid until May 31.
Additionally, as a temporary measure, the export of cooking oil is completely banned, because the estimates are that in the period from 1 to 8 March, 330 tons were exported from the country. There is a possibility of such a ban for some other food products such as flour, wheat and corn because there is a demand for exports from neighboring and European countries.
