VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski in an interview with Alfa TV’s “Zaspij ako mozhesh” political show spoke about his two-day stay at the extraordinary session of the Council of Europe, pointing out that he used the opportunity to send a message that is essential for Macedonia and Macedonian citizens.
“I thought it was important to say what I said there, partly because it is an organization working to protect human and linguistic minority rights and, secondly, because the whole European and world focus was there. This does not happen every day and it is not that someone from Macedonia went abroad and said and has not said anywhere and in any form. Here, for example, to list the members of the Greek delegation, who are members of the Bulgarian delegation. The Greek delegation includes former Prime Minister Papandreou, former Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis and Cotrugados. Members of the Bulgarian are Ekaterina Zaharieva, one of the most prominent MPs of Kiril Petkov’s new party, Magdalena Kuneva, who was also EU Commissioner from Bulgaria, and Hristo Ivanov, who is the chair of the Democratic Bulgaria party, which is a coalition partner of this government,” Nikoloski.
“I think that the Macedonian people as a suffering, tormented and small nation must always use the currents of world politics and history. We as a nation must no longer be naive and go against the wind. The Macedonian people have twice used the currents of history and many times went against the wind. Those two times the country used the currents to create a state, the first time is the Second World War when the Macedonian people chose the right side, the anti-fascist side,” Nikoloski said.
