The National Insurance Bureau (NBO) from its guarantee fund will cover all possible damages from Ukrainian vehicles transporting refugees until June 30 this year. The decision was made by consensus by all 11 non-life insurance companies.

All persons with the status of refugees from Ukraine upon entry into our country will be exempt from paying border insurance. This decision was made by the National Insurance Bureau (NBO) in coordination with the Insurance Supervision Agency (ISA) at the initiative of the Government.

The decision of the NBO applies to all vehicles with Ukrainian license plates that transport persons with the status of refugees from Ukraine, regardless of whether the vehicles will transit through Macedonian territory or will remain in our country. The decision of the NBO will be valid until June 30 this year.

“This is our contribution to welcoming people from Ukraine with refugee status. With this step we believe that at least a little will contribute to the relief of their current position. All members of the NBO showed extremely strong solidarity and unity in seeking and finding a solution with which we should have jointly contributed to alleviating the difficult situation of these people with refugee status,” said NBO director Trajche Latinovski.
