Director of the State Statistical Office Apostol Simovski presented the official results of the Census at a press conference on Wednesday. In his address, he noted that the State Statistical Office managed to conduct a successful census.
The counted population in total stands at 2,097,319 persons, of whom 54.21 percent declared themselves as Macedonians, 29.52 percent as Albanians, 3.98 percent as Turks, 2.34 percent as Roma, 1.18 as Serbs, 0.87 percent as Bosniaks, and 0.44 percent as Vlacs, said SSO head Simovski.
