Macedonian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska on Monday attended the opening of the first children’s library in the kindergarten Pchelka 1, at the Public Institution “Buba Mara”, Municipality of Aerodrom. The library opens to mark the World Children’s Literature Day – “Know the world through books”.
Minister Trenchevska stressed that investing in proper child growth and development is especially important, because it is an investment in the future of all citizens.
“Investing in strengthening the capacities of children, in acquiring skills, stimulating their curiosity and desire for knowledge from an early age, directly contributes to their success in later life,” said Trenchevska.
The Minister pointed out that the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy continues to invest continuously in the construction of new, reconstruction and expansion of existing facilities of kindergartens, as well as in strengthening the capacity of professional staff in them, in order to realize a quality preschool process.
