At the invitation of the Delphi Economic Forum, Foreign Minister BujarOsmani participated in the Europe after Ukraine panel, together with his counterparts from Greece, Slovakia and Kosovo, Nikos Dendias, Ivan Korčok, and DonikaGërvalla-Schwarz.
Osmani conveyed the positions of North Macedonia on the war in Ukraine, strongly condemning the aggression of the Russian Federation, as a blatant violation of international law and joining all EU sanctions against Russia.
The foreign minister referred to the postponement of the formal start of accession talks with the EU, stressing that the integration of the Western Balkans is a geostrategic investment in European security.
“It takes little to throw the ball in the right direction and achieve a common victory for all actors involved in the process, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, the Western Balkans region and the EU as a whole. The integration of the Western Balkans is a geostrategic investment in European security,” said the foreign minister.
“This is a source of systemic vulnerability and a potential threat to security and stability, the effects of which spill over into the entire region, and which malicious actors easily and skillfully exploit,” Osmani said.
