Saturday means rest. Holy Saturday is a day of repose, a day of the deceased, a day of the Greatest repose and of the Greatest Dead.
Holy Saturday is the day between Christ’s death and resurrection, between Friday and Easter, the day that unites crucifixion and joy.
The day of the Great Rest is the time when the body of Christ was laid down in the grave. The deceased has been inside since Friday. This is the second day of our grief, sorrow and silence. A day of deep silence, contemplation and peace.
