Following a preliminary procedure, the Public Prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office based in Struga filed an indictment against three persons for serious acts against a patient’s health under Article 217 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 207 paragraph 1 and 3 of the Criminal Code.
This is the case reported back in the summer of 2020, when Jeldz Veaposka from Debar, an ambulance nurse, survived a real Golgotha after giving birth in a hospital in Struga by caesarean section, but came out of the surgery without a uterus, kidney and one ovary.
According to the BPPO, the primary defendant as a doctor – specialist gynecologist obstetrician, the second defendant as a doctor – specialist in gynecology and obstetrics and the third defendant as a doctor – gynecologist obstetrician, employed in the Public Health Institution – Medical Center – Struga, when providing medical assistance method of treatment of a patient – a mother from Debar, which caused deterioration of her health.
