The cost of living in April this year (inflation) is higher by 10.5 percent, compared to the same month in 2021, while retail prices increased by 11.1 percent.
Compared to the previous month, March, the cost of living in April increased by 2.2 percent, and retail prices rose by 2.0 percent, the State Statistical Office (SSO) announced today. The biggest jump, according to the data, increase in the cost of living in the last month, compared to only a month earlier, in March, was recorded in oil and fat by 20.2 percent. Then, for fresh and chilled vegetables by 12.9 percent, fresh and chilled fruits by 4.4, cheese and cottage cheese by 3.7, meat by 3.4, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery, mineral water, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices for 2.3, beer for 1.9 and more.
Air passenger transport increased by 46.6 percent, tourist arrangements by 8.9, gas for households by 4.1, liquid fuels for households by 2.6, large tools and equipment by 1.7, furniture and household by 1.5 , etc.
