Media literacy enters higher education

Four higher education institutions will include media literacy in their study programs. The Faculty of Philology “Blaze Koneski” and the Faculty of Pedagogy “St. Kliment Ohridski within the“ St. Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM) inSkopje, the South East European University (SEEU) in Tetovo and the Faculty of Economics at FON University. They will update existing or introduce new media literacy courses, work on research, create new literature and devise different activities with students, said Aleksandra Temenugova of the Institute for Communication Studies (ICS).

These higher education institutions were selected from a total of 11 colleges that applied to the ICS and IREX call within the five-year USAID Media Literacy Project “YouThink”.
