Urgently eliminate unnecessary and complicated bureaucratic procedures for installing renewable energy sources that last 60 to 90 days, increase domestic production of basic crops and activate state reserves if we want to more easily overcome price shocks, the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce (MCC) said on Thursday.

According to the MCC, companies are willing to invest in renewable sources, but their main obstacle is complex administrative procedures. Although some have already provided the equipment and need to install it, they are wasting time obtaining permits and documents, “running” in the municipalities and through the institutions.

“If we want to protect ourselves from price shocks, we need to go in one direction – domestic production of both energy and food products. That way, the shocks would be smaller and the situation would be kept somehow under control “, said the MCC head Trajan Angeloski, asked by the media after the promotion of the project for Certificate of Business Success.
