The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) on Tuesday at 10 am held a protest in front of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP), where it expressed its dissatisfaction with the unfulfilled request for a linear salary increase of 2,806 denars.
Macedonian Minister of Labor and Social Policy JovankaTrenchevska was also present before the MLSP, who indicated that she will welcome them at a meeting. The Minister stated that she is fully on the side of the workers and that she will receive them at a meeting to find a solution.
“The social dialogue has not stopped and will continue. I believe that we will reach a solution through dialogue. What the Government presented at the last meeting with the Trade Union is the drafting of a new law on salaries in the public sector, which will create a salary system and there will be no such irregularities and injustices among public sector employees,” said Trenchevska.
