In an interview with TV 24, Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said that a “spin” was made in the public out of his statement at the briefing on Saturday when he spoke about the possible consequences that would occur if the proposal were not accepted.
“It was a construction that there will be an inter-ethnic conflict. I never said there would be inter-ethnic conflict, that’s spin. I do not differentiate between Albanian and Macedonian issues. There are families who find it unworthy to take a Bulgarian passport, but they have to in order to educate their children. If we take away their hope that our passport will not be European, young people will start running away from the country, the harmony among the population will begin the fade,” stressed Osmani.
