The support for the progress of North Macedonia in the process of European integration was expressed on Tuesday in the telephone conversation that the Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani had with his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavsky.
Lipavsky stressed the readiness to swiftly organize the first Intergovernmental Conference, after North Macedonia approves the European proposal.
“The two interlocutors repeated the key aspects of the compromise proposal, which leads the country closer to the European Union, taking into account our interests in terms of a clean formulation of the Macedonian language, the absence of historical issues in the negotiation framework and the start of accession negotiations immediately,” stressed MFA in a press release.
