The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia has submitted to the parliament procedure the separate Draft Laws for the ratification of the Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty in connection with the accession of the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Finland, in order to create formal legal preconditions, after the entry into force of the Protocols, both countries to be able to accede to the North Atlantic Treaty and their membership in NATO, announced the government’s PR service.
“Prime Minister DimitarKovachevski and the members of the Government openly supported the initiative of Sweden and Finland for membership in NATO and already in May consent was given for the admission of the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden for their membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.
